Drive by nothern Anhui city Fuyang a couple of times, but had't entered the city ever. It's a rule to stay away from urban city part for fear of the hardship of traffic jams. Usually select a satelite city, or at least a suburban hotel. To dodge a big city is very important, it's a hassle to get into then away downtown city. Fuyang is a northern Anhui city, and a former prefecture seat. The city is in poor area, and famous for its exodus emigrant workers. Fuyang is under-developed, even though it's in east china. I stayed at Taihe last time which is in Fuyang's vicinity, that's a small county, but it's a failure to find an easy path to get to the hotel.

This time was a exception, i took aim at a hotel located in the new city center of Fuyang, the Howard Johnson. Get off the turnpike at Northern Fuyang Toll Gate. Long way to go a meandering path, even with guiding system's assistance. Never easy thing to find a hotel in a new place, particularly after the night falls. Thank god here we were, on Huaihe Road.

There is a back yard for parking, and each Howard Johnson has a uniform layout, the lobby quite imposing. The most important part lies in the room. This Howard Johnson's room is great too, just as in Meizhou or Haikou. Howard Johnson only a middle class brand, from Wyndham Group. Sure it's a foreign brand, from U.S.. Foreign brands dominate the market, especialy among high end market.
